New Hq Encourages Konica Minolta Sensing Expansion

"Slovenia Oil & Gas Report Q2 2011" is now available at Fast Market Research

The 2010 average naphtha price is put by BMI at US$77.65/bbl,  up almost 31% from the previous year's level.  Slovenian real GDP is assumed by BMI to have risen by 1.8% in 2010. We are forecasting average  annual growth of 2.7% in 2010-2015. Beyond the expected weakness of 2009/2010, oil consumption  growth is forecast at an annual rate of 3%, reaching 63,000b/d by 2015. Gas consumption will have  reached an estimated 1.0bcm in 2010, with up to 0.4bcm being produced from domestic sources. Demand  is expected to have reached 1.4bcm by 2015, with domestic production potentially down to 0.1bcm and  imports totalling 1.3bcm.    Between 2010 and 2020, we are forecasting an increase in Slovenian oil consumption of 37.7%, with  import volumes rising steadily from an estimated 53,000b/d to 73,000b/d by the end of the 10-year  forecast period. Gas consumption is expected to climb from an estimated 1.0bcm to 1.8bcm by 2020, met  largely by imports of 1.7bcm. Details of BMI's 10-year forecasts can be found in the appendix to this  report.    Slovenia takes 15th and last place, behind Slovakia, in BMI's composite Business Environment (BE)  ratings table, which combines upstream and downstream scores. South America cement manufacturing capacity passes 150 million tons

The corporate leader in terms of manufacturing capacity was Brazil's Votorantim Cimentos, which directly or indirectly influenced over 27 percent of the manufacturing capacity on the continent. Global cement majors Holcim (second largest in terms of capacity), Lafarge (fifth largest) and Cemex (seventh largest) controlled about 24 percent in total of the installed nameplate capacity. New market study, "Sudan Oil & Gas Report Q2 2011", has been published

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 27, 2011 – The new Sudan Oil & Gas Report from BMI forecasts that the country will account for 2.49% of African regional oil demand by 2015, while providing 6.16% of supply. African regional oil use of 3.06mn barrels per day (b/d) in 2001 rose to an estimated 3.88mn b/d in 2010. It should average 3.96mn b/d in 2011 and then rise to around 4.48mn b/d by 2015. Regional oil production was 7.93mn b/d in 2001, and in 2010 averaged an estimated 9.98mn b/d. From an estimated 10.37mn b/d in 2011, it is set to rise to 11.92mn b/d by 2015. Oil exports are growing steadily, because demand growth is lagging behind the pace of supply expansion. In 2001, the region was exporting an average of 4.87mn b/d. This total rose to an estimated 6.10mn b/d in 2010 and is forecast to reach 7.44mn b/d by 2015. Angola has the greatest production growth potential, with Nigerian exports set to climb if it is able to overcome challenges that have hampered exports.

In terms of natural gas, the region in 2010 consumed an estimated 123.7bn cubic metres (bcm), with demand of 176.2bcm forecast for 2015. Production of an estimated 217.7bcm in 2010 should reach 321.2bcm in 2015, which implies net exports rising from an estimated 94bcm to 145bcm in 2015. Sudan is currently neither a consumer nor producer of gas.

The 2010 full-year outturn was US$77.45/bbl for OPEC crude, which delivered an average for North Sea Brent of US$80.34/bbl and for West Texas Intermediate (WTI) of US$79.61/bbl. The BMI price target of US$77 was reached thanks to the early onset of particularly cold weather, which drove up demand for and the price of heating oil during the closing weeks of the year.

We set our 2011 supply, demand and price forecasts in early January, targeting global oil demand growth of 1.53% and supply growth of 1.91%. With OECD inventories at the top of their five-year average range, we set a price forecast of US$80/bbl average for the OPEC basket in 2011. The unprecedented wave of popular uprisings in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) that followed the removal of Tunisian President Ben Ali on January 14 has obviously fundamentally altered our outlook, particularly since the unrest spread to Libya in mid-February.

Taking into account the risk premium that has been added to crude prices in response to actual and perceived threats to manual trash compactor supply, we have now raised our benchmark OPEC basket price forecast from US$80 to US$90/bbl for 2011 and from US$85 to US$95/bbl for 2012. Based on our expectations for differentials, this gives a forecast for Brent at US$94/bbl in 2011 and US$99/bbl in 2012. We have kept our long-term price assumption of US$90/bbl (OPEC basket) in place for the time being while we wait to see what path events in the MENA region take. We have also retained our existing supply and demand forecasts until the scheduled quarterly rc helicopter market place revision at the start of April.

Sudan's real GDP is assumed by BMI to have risen by 5.7% in 2010. We are forecasting average annual growth of 2.8% in 2010-2015. We expect oil demand to rise from an estimated 87,000b/d in 2010 to 111,000b/d in 2015. State oil company Sudan National Petroleum Corporation (Sudapet) is active in the country's oil exploration and production (E&P) sector, working in partnership with foreign (largely Asian) companies in raising oil output from an estimated 475,000b/d in 2010 to 735,000bd in 2015. There are no plans for significant gas production or consumption.

Between 2010 and 2020, we are forecasting an increase in Sudanese oil and gas liquids production of 49.5%, with volumes peaking at 770,000b/d in 2016, before falling steadily to 710,000b/d by the end of the 10-year forecast period. Oil consumption between 2010 and 2020 is set to increase by 62.9%, with growth slowing to an assumed 5.0% per annum towards the end of the period and the country using 142,000b/d by 2020. Details of BMI's 10-year forecasts can be found in the appendix to this report.

Sudan now shares last place with Cameroon in BMI's composite Business Environment (BE) table, which combines upstream and downstream scores. The country holds 12th and last place in BMI's updated upstream Business Environment ratings. The country's score suffers from a very poor country risk rating, the absence of gas resources and significant state influence. The risk profile of the separate northern and southern states will no doubt change once the division has been completed. Sudan is just below the mid-point of the league table in BMI's updated downstream Business Environment ratings, with few high scores and progress further up the rankings unlikely unless the energy market grows more rapidly or new refineries are built. It is ranked equal seventh with Ghana, thanks to low scores for gas demand, country risk factors and nominal GDP.

Welding Camera Enhances Learning Experience

Algeria Oil & Gas Report Q2 2011: New research report available at Fast Market Research

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 20, 2011 – The latest Algeria Oil & Gas Report from BMI forecasts that the country will account for 9.31% of African regional oil demand by 2015, while providing 16.86% of supply. African regional oil use of 3.06mn barrels per day (b/d) in 2001 rose to an estimated 3.88mn b/d in 2010. It should average 3.96mn b/d in 2011 and then rise to around 4.48mn b/d by 2015. Regional oil production was 7.93mn b/d in 2001, and in 2010 averaged an estimated 9.98mn b/d. From an estimated 10.37mn b/d in 2011, it is set to rise to 11.92mn b/d by 2015. Oil exports are growing steadily, because demand growth is lagging behind the pace of supply expansion. In 2001, the region was exporting an average of 4.87mn b/d. This total rose to an estimated 6.10mn b/d in 2010 and is forecast to reach 7.44mn b/d by 2015. Angola has the greatest production growth potential, with Nigerian exports set to climb if it can resolve recent quasi-political issues.

In terms of natural gas, the region in 2010 consumed a trash bins n estimated 123.7bn cubic metres (bcm), with demand of 176.2bcm forecast for 2015. Production of an estimated 217.7bcm in 2010 should reach 321.2bcm in 2015, which implies net exports rising from an estimated 94bcm to 145bcm in 2015. The 2010 full-year outturn was US$77.45/bbl for OPEC crude, which delivered an average for North Sea Brent of US$80.34/bbl and for West Texas Intermediate (WTI) of US$79.61/bbl. The BMI price target of US$77 was reached thanks to the early onset of particularly cold weather, which drove up demand for and the price of heating oil during the closing weeks of the year.

We set our 2011 supply, demand and price forecasts in early January, targeting global oil demand growth of 1.53% and supply growth of 1.91%. With OECD inventories at the top of their five-year average range, we set a price forecast of US$80/bbl average for the OPEC basket in 2011. Based on our expectations for differentials, this gives a forecast for Brent at US$94/bbl in 2011 and US$99/bbl in 2012. We have kept our long-term price assumption of US$90/bbl (OPEC basket) in place for the time being while we wait to see what path events in the MENA region take. We have also retained our existing supply and demand forecasts until the scheduled quarterly revision at the start of April.

Between 2010 and 2020 we are forecasting an increase in Algerian oil and gas liquids production of 31.5%, with volumes rising steadily from an estimated 1.83mn b/d in 2010 to 2.40mn b/d by the end of the 10-year forecast period. Oil consumption between 2010 and 2020 is set to increase by 48.0%, with growth slowing to an assumed 4% per annum towards the end of the period and the country using 507,000b/d by 2020. Gas production is expected to rise to 140bcm by the end of the period. With demand rising by 65.9% between 2010 and 2020, export potential should rise from an estimated 54.7bcm to 94.7bcm, in the form of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and by pipeline. Details of BMI's 10-year forecasts can be found in the appendix to this report.

Algeria now shares third place with Libya and Egypt in BMI's composite Business Environment (BE) ratings table, which combines upstream and downstream scores. It now shares fifth place in the updated upstream Business Environment ratings, alongside South Africa. The country's score benefits from healthy oil and gas reserves, a large number of non-state companies active in the upstream sector and decent licensing terms. Algeria is near the top of the league table in BMI's updated downstream Business Environment ratings, with some high scores but progress further up the rankings unlikely. It is now ranked third, behind only South Africa and Egypt, thanks to high scores for gas consumption, nominal GDP, likely refining capacity expansion and oil demand growth.

A major wind turbine manufacturer had an emergency with some of their turbine power units, and they needed to have them serviced as soon as possible. For each turbine they needed to flush and replenish the gearbox oil and the hydraulic fluid in each of the power units. They contacted us on a very short notice, right before a major holiday weekend, but understanding the severity of the matter we made the trip to help them out anyway.

Once we got there, the steps of the job were rather simple:

1. We drained the old gear and hydraulic oils from the reservoirs. 2. We filled and flushed the reservoirs with flushing oil. 3. We refilled the reservoirs with pure, clean, filtered lube oil.

The company had instructed us to achieve a certain oil cleanliness level (according to the ISO code 4406). They set the target at 16/14/11 (click here for an explanation of these numbers). We accomplished this cleanliness level in each uni helicop ter technology t, the first time around! Malaysia Infrastructure Report Q2 2011: New research report available at Fast Market Research

PRLog (Press Release) – Apr 19, 2011 – BMI View: The Malaysia Department of Statistics showed that Malaysia's construction industry had grown robustly in 2010, propelled by a two-year US$16bn stimulus plan initiated back in March 2009. Therefore, BMI is pencilling in slower construction sector growth over the medium term. The construction sector is expected to average real growth of 5.6% per annum between 2011 and 2012. Looking further ahead, we expect sector growth to slow further, averaging 4.9% per annum between 2013 and 2015, with the nominal industry value expected to hit MYR35.4bn (US$10.9bn) by 2015.

Equipment alliance announces new UK event to showcase technology for mobile plant

As reducing agent, energy and agent for carbon, it is also applied as a raw material in such fields as calcium carbide production, gasification and synthetic chemistry.

In China, the iron and steel industry is the major consumption field, therefore, coke consumption greatly relies on the operation of iron and steel industry. Top 30 MEMS Companies 2010: Big four capture a third of the total MEMS market

MEMS may still be an industry with a multitude of diverse products, but it's also increasingly an industry dominated by a limited number of big suppliers.

There's plenty of industry-leading growth among the rest of the Top 30 companies as well. This year it took sales of $52 million to make the ranking, up from only $31 million last year. Five additional players reached $100 million or more in MEMS sales, bringing 21 of the 30 to a level likely needed to stay competitive in the consumer or automotive business. The Top 30 companies now account for about 80% of total MEMS industry sales.

In February 2011, African Barrick Gold (ABG), Tanzania's largest gold mining concern, announced highly positive preliminary financial results for 2010, although production was slightly lower than expected. The company announced revenue growth of 37.3% y-o-y to US$975mn, while profits were up by a staggering 272%, to US$218mn in 2010, on the back of elevated gold prices.

These stellar financial results came despite the company's relatively poor year in terms of production figures as gold output fell to 700,934 ounces (oz) in 2010, marking a 2% decline from 2009. ABG, which operates solely in Tanzania, saw a decline in output due to falling grades at the Tulawaka mine and reduced production due to fuel thefts at the Buzwagi mine, which accounts for 26.5% of the comp helicop ter technology any's output.

The country could also be in a position to export coal in the future.

Industry Forecast

We are optimistic on the outlook for Tanzania's mining industry, currently forecasting average annual growth of 7.7% over our forecast period to 2015. Gold production should increase as new projects are developed, with large-scale commercial coal and uranium mining also likely to commence over the coming garbage compactor review years. Nickel mining should also commence, with two major mining companies developing projects in country.

Lastly, diamond production and exports will fall sharply during 2011, due to the temporary closure of the Williamson mine for redevelopment works. However, once diamond mining resumes in late 2011, we expect diamond output to reach new heights, given mine owner Petra Diamonds' plans to increase output to 600,000 carats per annum over the medium term.
