San Diego Roofer Touts Cool Roofs,Energy Efficient Roofing to Beat Summer Heat, Lower Cooling Costs

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 07, 2011 – San Diego coolroofs hold many advantages over regular hot style asphalt shingle roofing claims San Diego roofer, Preman Roofing.

Imagine you're walking across a black asphalted parking lot on a hot summer day. Feeling the heat? The asphalt spends all day absorbing heat from the sun, and that heat radiates upward, making a hot day feel even hotter.

"The same thing takes place on top of your roof throughout the summer- only worse. The heat the asphalt roofs collects hold heat and transfers it down into the building. This leads to extreme discomfort for anyone inside your home and place of bu helicop ter technology siness- especially if the building is not ventilated or insulated correctly", stated San Diego Roofer and owner of Preman Roofing, Aaron Preman.

Preman Roofing specializes in San Diego Coolroofs, CoolRoofing systems for businesses, and energy efficient roof installation and repairs for residential homes.

To beat the dreaded summer heat that occurs in Southern California, Preman is taking time to make fellow San Diegans aware of options for beating the heat for their home or business during heat waves.

One of the first ways to start looking to provide a cool oasis is to ensure that your roof is properly installed with the latest San Diego CoolRoof and energy efficient technology.

New roofing materials offer a cooler alternative to what's been traditionally available.  "It's a fact that a CoolRoof  and the new energy efficient materials result in lower cooling costs," said the San Diego roofing specialist Aaron.

According to Aaron Preman, as a general rule of thumb, the warmer the climate where people live, the more money they are able to save, especially when their homes are updated with new reflective roofing and commercial buildings are securely covered with the new CoolRoofing system.

"A cool roofing system enables your roof to reflect sunlight, making it cooler inside the building. Besides, the US government is also pushing for a Green Initiative to see San Diego CoolRoof technolo rc helicopter market place gy be implemented on more businesses," he said.

The following are three major advantages that the CoolRoofing system offers Californian residents:

1) With a CoolRoof system on your San Diego commercial building, it will reflect back the heat of the sun instead of absorbing the sun's hot energy inside, making it more pleasant for staff and customers.

2) CoolRoofs have been proven to reduce utility bills by an average savings of 7-15% in cooling costs for San Diego business owners and commercial building investors.

3) A San Diego CoolRoof on your commercial building will be Green Initiative compliant with California. Many CoolRoof systems are also eligible for the California Energy Rebate.  This can help to defray the cost of the roofing system installation making it a very economical roofing solution. This may have a favorable reduction in your overall tax bill resulting in increased savings. See your tax consultant for more detailed information.

"The bottom-line is that if you want to go green, save money, and feel more comfortable while at work or in your home during this coming summer, then you have every reason to consider converting your roof to a San Diego CoolRoof trash bins 531276856  or an energy efficient roof," said Aaron.

Preman Roofing offers San Diego CoolRoof consultations for you and your building.

"Indonesia Mining Report Q3 2011" is now available at Fast Market Research

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 05, 2011 – India hosts a wide range of globally significant mineral resources, including four fuel minerals (such as coal), 11 metallic minerals (such as iron), 22 minor minerals (such as copper) and 52 non-metallic minerals (such as clay). The country ranks among the world's top five nations for its core competency commodity reserves of coal and iron ore. Iron ore reserves are estimated in the region of 23bn tonnes and account for 6% of global reserves, while coal reserves are reported to be around 255bn tonnes. India is the world's thirdlargest producer of coal, fourth-largest producer of iron ore and the fifth-largest producer of bauxite. However, only 10% of the country's landmass has been explored due primarily to complicated paperwork, excessive regulations and bureaucratic wrangles.

----------------------------------------------------- -------Full Report Details at - http://www.fastmr.com/prod/205403_indonesia_mining_repor ... ------------------------------------------------------------

India's mining industry looks set to post average annual growth of 6.2% in real terms from 2011 to 2015 to reach US$85.0bn at the end of the period, as output of key minerals looks set to grow in the coming quarters and years. However, growth in 2011 and beyond will continue to be curtailed by India's poor operating environment. A bright spot, however, is the increasing number of Indian companies venturing overseas to secure stable, long-term supplies of minerals such as coal and iron ore in a bid to meet fast-rising domestic demand.

India's regulatory environment is prohibitive for the global investor. The present practice in the Indian mining industry involves issuing a mining permit/licence contingent on success in the reconnaissance phase. This practice exposes firms to high levels of risk. Moreover, Indian states hold the sole licensing authority for most minerals, leaving aside a few such as iron ore and uranium, which require prior consent from the central government. In spite of best efforts to maintain a degree of uniformity in licensing norms across states, many areas of difference still exist from state to state.

India's mining sector is highly fragmented, with a large number of small and inefficient mines, many of them illegal. According to Austrade, 95% of operating mines in India produce only about 50% of the country's mineral output. Given the sector's strategic and economic importance, there is significant government involvement, with the sector dominated by state-owned companies or Public-Sector Undertakings (PSUs) such as National Aluminium Corp (NALCO), SAIL, National Mineral Development Corp (NMDC) and Coal India. Indeed, according to the USGS, PSUs contribute about 85% of India's total value of mineral production and are the main producers of key commodities such as coal, iron ore, aluminium, copper and gold.

Vertical Storage, Vertical Lift Modules, VLMs, Vertical Carousels: 6 Reasons to Save Space and Time

PRLog (Press Release) – Jul 05, 2011 – What is the value of unused space? It can have significant value, if used properly. Organizations that strategically optimize their storage and retrieval requirements rather than allowing it to "happen" can realize tremendous financial and operational benefits.

Typically, vertical automated storage and retrieval systems, such as Vertical Carousels and Vertical Lift Modules (VLM) take advantage of unuse trash bins d overhead space to recover 70% to 85% of the floor space typically required by shelving and drawer systems.

Vertical storage and retrieval systems, such as Sapient Automation's Viper Vertical Lift Module (VLM) and Avenger Vertical Carousel, are designed with rotating shelves or moving trays which are retrieved in seconds and delivered at an ergonomically positioned pick window for easy retrieval or replenishment.

The floor space recovered with the installation of vertical storage and retrieval systems can often be re-allocated from cost-associated fu rc helicopter market place nctions of inventory to value-increasing production operations. Improved space utilization can also extend the useful life of existing facilities, eliminating the need for expensive square footage expansion to meet growth requirements. Their small unit footprint makes vertical systems especially valuable for point-of-use storage and Just-in-Time (JIT) applications.

Because of their vertical design, these systems can be used to link multiple operations located on different floors, further reducing the amount of space required for storage and retrieval activities while improving workflow.

More details on the difference between Vertical Lift Modules (VLMs) and  Vertical Carousels can be seen on this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wOgpUjVDFw

Saving Space Saves Time and Money

The space savings benefits of vertical storage and retrieval systems, however, are just a small piece of the savi Kenmore Bisque 15 inchi ngs potential of these systems. There are a number of reasons why reducing the amount of space required by storage and retrieval systems can result in significant savings in time and money.

Reason 1: Conventional static storage systems like shelving require employees to spend up to 70% of their time traveling aisles searching for items. Vertical automated storage and retrieval systems such as Vertical Lift Modules (VLMs) and Vertical Carousels deliver items automatically to the operator, eliminating wasted walk and search time. The access area of VLMs and Vertical Carousels are ergonomically designed to present stored items at an ideal height for picking, usually about waist high. Typically, an operator's walk and search time is reversed from that of conventional systems to 70% picking and only 30% dwell time. In many applications, this reversal of walk and search time can reduce labor requirements by up to 66%. Even with a smaller workforce, productivity can increase by more than 2.5 times, on average, in typical applications.

Reason 2:  Vertical storage and retrieval systems (Vertical Lift Modules, VLMs and Vertical Carousels) also offer increased picking speed and accuracy when compared with drawers, rack and shelving systems. Intuitive controls and software allow organizations to use batch picking and integrated pick-to-light technology to improve throughput up to 500% in some applications. With the addition of position indicators, information displays, bar code scanning devices, inventory management and control software, picking accuracy can improve to 99.99% while throughput can improve up to 500%.

Reason 3:    Redundant or non-essential handling can be reduced with vertical storage and retrieval systems, Vertical Lift Modules, VLMs and Vertical Carousels. Throughput improves, and the time saved results in less operating cost and improved customer service. Vertical storage and retrieval systems, Vertical Lift Modules, VLMs and Vertical Carousels can be integrated with ERP and WMS software to provide precise inventory management.

Reason 4:    Since Vertical Lift Modules, VLMs and Vertical Carousels are totally enclosed and lockable, they protect products from external hazards and reduce product damage and pilfering. Because of this, inventories can often be reduced. Access to vertical storage and retrieval systems, Vertical Lift Modules, VLMs and Vertical Carousels can be controlled and tracked making it easy to keep specific items or groups of items secure from unauthorized personnel.

Making 'Green' Bottom Line Viable

Going "green" with sustainable design and construction makes sense for the environment, but it's sometimes difficult to justify.

Reason 5:    By reducing the amount of space required for storage and retrieval operations by using Vertical Carousels, VLMs and Vertical Lift Modules, organizations can construct smaller, more energy efficient buildings. This optimized strategy can shrink the construction footprint by up to 15% in some cases, conserving natural resources and reducing maintenance costs. This improved space utilization helps reduce energy costs, which helps reduce an organization's overall carbon footprint.

Reason 6:   The ergonomic location of the access area also contributes to employee safety since this positioning design eliminates the bending, climbing and stretching associated with conventional shelving and rack systems. This can reduce the potential for injuries and the resulting Workers' Compensation claims and workdays lost to recovery.

Return on investment for a vertical storage and retrieval system, Vertical Lift Module, VLM and Vertical Carousel is often under 12 months. With current tax credits being offered by the US Federal Government, vertical storage and retrieval systems have never been more affordable. Organizations such as Sapient Automation provide a free Return On 531276856  Investment (ROI) analysis to show organizations exactly how fast their ROI will be.

Vertical storage and retrieval systems manual trash compactor are designed to significantly reduce to space necessary for storage and retrieval operations, allowing that recovered floor space to be used in revenue generating operations. However, there are other benefits as well, and when those benefits are combined with space savings, the resulting reduction in costs and improvement in productivity can boost the performance of any organization.

Sapient Automation, a subsidiary of MDCI, is a leading provider of automated storage and retrieval systems for manufacturing, distribution, warehouses, institutions, retail and wholesale.
